Whisper Game Phrases

Game Instructions: Divide students into groups of four. If you have extra students, they can be added in (four is the optimal number, though give and six also work.) Have them sit in a straight line. Whisper clearly the first five words of the scripture verse to each student who is first in their group. Try using a tongue twister in a game of Telephone, where each student whispers the phrase to the next. It will become delightfully tangled and you may end up with a whole new twister to use in class. Create your own worksheets so students can dissect the phrases and figure out what they mean. This is great practice for learning that sometimes.Introduction

People who work together are communicating with each other. If they communicate effectively, this will enhance the performance of the group. If communication is poor, the quality of group work will suffer. The importance of a good communication is demonstrated in this “Whispering game” (also called “Message Relay”) by illustrating the breakdown of the communication. The exercise can be used as a starter for sessions on (effective) communication. Clubs will benefit if there is good communication between members. Objectives
